Cummins Hybrid Power Plug-In: A Smarter Path Towards Full Electrification

For transit agencies looking at zero-emissions solutions but requiring time to establish a path to zero emissions, Cummins Hybrid Power Plug-In is the ideal solution. The Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is light years ahead of the traditional hybrid systems, with more than three times the battery-only range, up to 25 percent better overall fuel economy and a host of over-the-air capabilities designed to maximize uptime, reduce maintenance and lower operating costs. It’s the affordable way to introduce electrified technology into your municipal transit fleet.

New Preventative Maintenance Schedule Bolsters Transit Fleet Uptime

A new event and revised maintenance intervals have been announced by Cummins to help transit authorities keep their buses on the road longer. A new, 15-minute EGR Differential Pressure Sensor cleaning prevents any latent carbon-packing issues on 2010-2018 ISL9 and L9™ engines. The cleaning intervals have been set to align with the Overhead Set Adjustment. Cummins has also revised its Aftertreatment System Diesel Particulate Filter maintenance interval to occur in the same service event.
